The Legend of Zelda: The Shadow Ocean
It's not very good, but here is my own Zelda fan fiction.
PROLOGUE
Tetra and Link fired the cannons. The whole pirate crew was on board this strange ship. A tall, muscular man captained it. The cannons fired but they just bounced off the strange ship's wooden surface. Link drew his sword but Tetra held him back. "No, Link..." She said.
"But..."
"It's too dangerous!"
Link did as he was told and continued to fire the cannons. From the other ship, a cloaked pirate shot a large cannon. It rocketed over the gloomy seas and under the gloomy night sky. The cannon ball smashed Tetra's ships. Without warning, the whole ship exploded. Link, who had been completely unprepared, searched for Tetra as he blasted towards the evening sky. The smoke was thick. Link couldn't see a thing. He landed in the shadowy water. There, he saw Tetra, who was out cold from the explosion. He swam over to her. He looked for land that he could take Tetra too. He looked around and saw the pirate ship that had fired the cannon ball. Link could see the pirates. Their arms were tied with ropes. They all screamed for help. Niko was jumping up and down in a scared action.
The cloaked pirate fired another cannon ball. It strangley was on perfect target for Link. Link grabbed Tetra and swam away. He saw a piece of the shipwreck. He set Tetra's body onto the piece of wood. Then he began to push the large piece of wood. He was making progress until the ship came up to his side. He looked up and saw a large claw above him. A salvage arm. The claw came straight down to grab at Link. It happened so sudden, Link's mind had not yet seen this coming. The salvage arm was speedy. It reached down and grabbed Link around his waist. Link's green garb was soaked from the water. He tried to struggle out of the salvage arm but it's grip was tight. Like a young boy gripping his stuffed animal. When there was no hope, Link looked sadly at Tetra's unconscious body...
The salvage arm carried Link to the deck. It dropped Link off on the rough wood. He looked up and found himself surrounded by pirates. They were armed with swords and daggers.
"Welcome, Hero of Winds," The captain of the ship said. "Welcome to my ship..."

Pfft! Nonsense! It's great! I like it. So does this take place in like, windwaker? Or Phantom Hourglass? Either way it is already interesting. So did Tetra just get left behind, unconscious?
Can't wait for more! (by the way, I edited your post because you made a mistake that may confuzzle someone, you said. The smoke was thick. Link could see a thing. So I fixed it)

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Shadow Ocean
Thanks, The_Fierce_Goron! Here's chapter 1 now. And yeah, it's pretty much after PH.
CHAPTER 1: Battle in the Bay
The cloaked pirate pulled out a sword but the strange captain held him back. "I would prefer to kill him..." he said. All the pirates laughed as the captain pulled out a large silver sword. It was rusted but it had to be at least five and a half feet. Link drew his smaller sword, ready for the battle that was about to happen. The two charged at each other. The captain swung downward but Link rolled aside and counterstriked but the captain swatted him away with his large blade. Link now had a small cut around his waist. The belt he wore was torn a little bit. Link quickly got to his feet. But he didn't charge. "How dare you think you can stand up to Captain Volger!" Link yelled as he charged up to the captain known as Volger and swung the sword hard. That only made it worst as Captain Volger swatted him aside with his robust body. Link slid across the deck. Captain Volger snapped his fingers and in a half second, all the pirates drew there swords and daggers. Link was tired and couldn't fight them at the same time whatsoever. He dashed for the edge of the ship which was a big mistake. Link nearly banged into a cannon. He looked over the edge of the ship and found Tetra still out cold on the piece of shipwreck.
"You can't do anything, boy!" Captain Volger said with an evil grin. "The oceans will once again be infused with my power...my shadowy dark power!"
Link screamed at this and charged down Captain Volger. Link swung to the left. Captain Volger saw his chance and sliced Link in the shoulder. The agony of the cut doubled with each painful second. Link slowly collasped to the ground. Captain Volger stomped his foot on Link's hand. "What shall we do with him, boys?" Captain Volger cried out to his crew. There were suggestions of throwing him to the sharks or cutting his throat. But Captain Volger came to conclusion: "Let's blast 'em! Blast 'em out of the cannon."
Link nearly fainted. He had done this before. And it didn't turn out so great. The pirates loaded him into the cannon in mere seconds. The long stick of rope was sparking from the flames. Let's just say, the spark fired the cannon and it was all down hill from there for Link.
Meanwhile, Tetra's crew was watching. There only hope...gone. They quickly looked over the deck and found Tetra and the shipwreck gone. "Where did she go?" Captain Volger complained.
"Uh oh..." The pirate named Dolero said. "He's gonna go through a hissy fit..."
"I WILL NOT, DOLERO!"
"Whatever you say, sir."
"Good!
The pirate crew continued to search for Tetra but not a single sign of her was found.
Meanwhile, Link came around and found himself in the water. He turned over and saw a large whole in a wooden deck missing. Link groaned, knowing he had crashed into that thing. He heard a voice in the distance. "Maybe they'll tell me where I am," Link murmured. He swam to the beach and looked around. The voice he heard got louder and louder with every step. Then, Link found a young Rito girl singing by a boulder. The Rito girl had red hair bent back in a pony tail. "Medli?!" Link called out. The girl looked startled.
"Link!?"
Link ran up to Medli. "What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Well, since Ganondorf is gone, I thought I didn't need to be in the Earth Temple anymore. It was a rather dreary place. This is my new home, Tiki Bay." Medli went to say something else when she got a terrified look on her face. "Wha-" Link didn't get a chance to finish. He was slammed to the ground by a large lumpy sword. He rolled over and got a clear picture of the swordsman. A Darknut. Link got up and drew his small sword. Also known as the Hero's Sword. "Medli! Get away from here!" Link cried out. Medli turned to Link.
"But..."
The Darknut turned toward Medli. "Fly!" Link yelled out. Medli began two slowly flap her wings until she was about 6 feet in the air. Then she blasted into the night sky. She charged down and used her beak to knock off the Darknut's helmet. Link charged up and jumped clear over the Darknuts head and slashed it. It turned around and charged straight for Link. Link held out the Hero's Shield and blocked a hard strike. Medli swooped down again and knocked the Darknut in the head. The Darknut was shaking with anger. He whipped the sword straight at Medli's flying body. It spun through the air and cut Medli's side. Her wings no longer flapped. She fell into the ocean. Link got angry when he saw that and charged down the Darknut. He rolled around to the Darknut's back and cut the red spot with his sword. In a blink of an eye, the armor fell off right onto the wooden dock. Link saw his chance. The Darknut was still waiting for his sword to land. Link charged straight for him, pointing his sword's point at the monsters stomach. As Link got closer, he closed his eyes. In mere seconds, he was stopped by the Darknut's massive body. The sword was pierce right through it's body. Link pulled out the Hero's Sword and quickly ran towards Medli. Meanwhile, the Darknut collasped.
"MEDLI!!" Link cried out. He jumped off the dock and into the ocean. He looked for Medli. When he found her, he paddled over and grabbed her. She was alive but she had a nasty cut. Link grabbed her by the arm and swam to the shore.

Wow, nice, this is really great... I want to know where Tetra is just as much as the pirates and Link probably do, that means you're a good writer! Keep it up!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Shadow Ocean
Thanks Leif! Here's another chapter.
CHAPTER 2: Anchors Aweigh!
Link set Medli on the soft sand. He looked at the bleeding wound, the fresh blood from the large sword. Link took off a piece of his ripped green tunic and wrapped it around Medli's waist. After that, Link looked around the whole island for a shop or even a fairy fountain. But the place was as quite as two o'clock pancakes. Link walked back to Medli. He kneeled down next to her and waited until she came around. Medli's eyes began to slowly open. "Helloooooooo..." Medli said with a confused tone.
"Medli?"
"Link...LINK!? Are you alright? Did the Darknut hurt you?"
Link had plenty of wounds on his body, so he didn't exactly know which cuts came from who.
"I'm fine..." Link said. "But you...look at your waist."
Medli looked down and saw the bleeding cut. When she looked straight into the cut, she got a painful expression on her face. "Are you going to be okay?" Link asked with a concerned voice.
"I-I think so..." Medli said as she shifted her body. "I didn't get a chance to ask, Link, what are you doing here at Tiki Bay. I mean, barely any people have ever found it."
"Actually, I kind of just woke up here...you see, these pirates and Tetra..." When Link mentioned Tetra, his eyes got wide. "Tetra! I forgot! Tetra must be on board the ship!"
"Link, get a hold of yourself!" Medli said as she got up. "What exactly happened?"
Link told Medli everything. every single detail in his tragic story.
"I see...that doesn't sound good" Medli said. "Well, why don't we just go look for her?"
Link got a delighted look on his face. "You mean, you'll help me?!"
"Of course!" Medli said with a smile on her face. "Makar...what about Makar?! I'm sure he'll help us, too!"
Link remembered Makar, the Sage of Wind. He had gone into the Wind Temple with him once.
"Yeah!" Link yelled.
"It'll be fun! The Hero of Winds and the two Sages, fighting to save the Princess of Hyrule!"
Link smiled.
"The only question...where is Makar?" Medli reminded. "He could be anywhere..."
"The Great Deku Tree!" Link said. "I'm sure he'll know! He knows where all the Koroks are!"
Medli smiled. "Then, let's hit the rode!"
Link and Medli walked up to the bay. There they saw a boat. "Do you think they will mind if we borrow it?" Medli asked. Link considered Medli's thought. "I'm sure they wouldn't mind," Link said. But he didn't sound confident. The ship looked familiar to Link. The two boarded the ship. It was a steamship to be exact. "How do you steer this thing?" Medli murmured to herself. Link went below deck. There, he found a big surprise.
A man wearing a blue coat smashed his fist on one of the steam pipes. "Line...beck?" Link said in complete disbelief.
"That's the name...whadayya want?" The owner of the ship said as he turned around. When he saw Link, his eyes got wide. "KID!? IS THAT YOU!? HOW DID...WHERE DID....WHAT??"
Link told Linebeck about what happened to Tetra.
"Hmm...I wonder if there's any loot on that ship..." Linebeck murmured.
"Linebeck!" Link shouted.
Medli came below deck. "What's all the noise? And who's this ugly man?"
Linebeck had a look on his face. Like he could blow up any second. "I'M LINEBECK! THE GREAT MAN OF THE SEA!!! THE PLUNDER OF THE SHIPS THE FINDER OF THE TREASURE!!"
"Wow...that's weird..."
"You try to find your own title!" Linebeck said.
"I have one: Medli, the Sage of the Earth Temple."
"Stop lying! I know you're not a Sage!"
"Actually," Link interupted, "Medli is."
Linebeck looked shock. "I-I'm terribly sorry...miss Medli! Please forgive my extreme rudeness!"
"I accept your apology," Medli said with a large grin on her face.
"So, Linebeck, will you let us use your ship?" Link asked.
Linebeck scratched his chin. "Yes!....for a hundred rupees..."
Link forked over one hundred rupees. But he wasn't happy about it.
"Yes very well then. Now, anchors aweigh!

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Shadow Ocean
Great! That was an awesome chapter. I only have one thing, you may want to indent paragraphs and leaave a line between each. It just makes it more clear for the reader.
Can't wait for chapter 3!

Thanks! I'll try indenting!
Anway, I haven't really had any ideas for chapter three. But as soon as I get one, I'll be sure to post it.
